From a leisurely company to a purposeful company
context
Sperry held a contest for creative agencies to find the best global campaign for the launch of its new 7 Seas shoe. Our goal was to transform a company known for laid-back summer vacations into a high-performance brand built for purposeful odysseys with the shoes designed to take you there.

SpecialGuest competed against 11 other companies and won.
Due to our successful history with Sperry, we created another campaign for boots in Sperry’s Fall ’17 collection.
concept
We partnered with surfers in Chile and competitors in America’s Cup, an international sailing competition, to document their everyday odysseys along unsurfed shores and on the decks of yachts. For the Boots by Sperry campaign, we enlisted Iceland-based influencers to trek rugged terrain and filmed their Sperry boots walking through shallow water, handling windy, wet sailing conditions, and climbing before waterfalls.
Our work covered strategy, concept development, product naming, retail environment design, eComm, digital, social media, online film, print and OOH.
Buyers and distributors perceived the new work as fresh, innovative, and authentic.
