The traditional approach of advertising 30-second TV spots has been rapidly changing and shifting online. YouTube Advertisers Channel wanted to show its customers how they could navigate the new world of advertising using YouTube Advertising’s Reach Planner, Insight Finder, and other features.

We partnered with the YouTube Advertisers Channel team to explain exactly what these new advertising tools are and how to best use them. Sound boring? Normally it would be—but we made it fun. After all, we all go to YouTube to learn and be entertained at the same time.

In one YouTube Ads Explained video, we set off a friendly bomb of glitter or color powder each time the presenter, YouTube Product Marketing Manager Meredith Bailey, ventured into “boring” territory, before she continued to share great information about Google Preferred.
The result is a 12-video series to help answer questions that brands and agencies have about YouTube—a content series that ran once in 2015 and again in 2020, continued to reflect the evolving world of online advertising.
